Athletes must represent the BC Games zone where they reside. Each Zone Rep is to ensure that their athletes are registered correctly for trials. The athlete will be replaced by the Zone reserve athlete/registered Sub. Women’s Artistic Gymnastics: Day 1: Team and All Around Competition. All athletes, including Wildcards compete under their own set of rules (CCP Level 7 or Level 8; equipment as indicated in the BC CCP Charts document for the current season). Team: 6 athletes per Zone to compete on each apparatus, top 4 scores on each apparatus to count. Athletes are split by category/level for the All Around and to determine finalists on each apparatus. Day 2: Apparatus Finals – top 8 athletes on each apparatus according to Day 1 ranking and up to 2 additional athletes on each apparatus for regional representation. All WAG athletes must compete on at least one apparatus during Finals (unless sick or injured). Coaches may be consulted to determine an athlete's best apparatus for Finals. |

The goal is to form zone teams of 8 athletes (4 boys and 4 girls) for the team event play.
Each zone will conduct their own trials for selection to the zone team on November 3-5,
2023. A minimum fee will be charged to cover for shuttles. The format for the trials: Format: Singles play, round-robin, 2 games to 21 rally points without setting The player with the most points at the end of round-robin play will be ranked #1, the second most points will be ranked #2, and until the top 4 players of boys and girls are determined. Wildcard: Athlete who did not qualify at zone trials (top 4 boys or 4 girls by zone) may earn a spot to the Games through BC Winter Games Wildcard process, and spare for a Zone team that does not meet the minimum player numbers. The Provincial Advisor will have the final approval on Wildcard allocations. Player who qualified through their zone trials are eligible to participate in the following
events: 1. Individual Event a) Players will play one (1) individual in boys singles, girls singles, boys doubles, girls doubles or mixed doubles of their coaches choosing for their respective zones 2. Team Event Tier 1 and Tier 2 a) Each zone team consists of four (4) boys and four (4) girls b) The five (5) match format for the team is called a tie and consists of one (1) boys singles, one (1) girls singles, one (1) boys doubles, one (1) girls doubles and one (1) mixed doubles. c) Format: There will be team play-offs to determine Tier 1 and Tier 2. The winners of the play-offs will qualify for Tier 1, and the loser will qualify to Tier 2. Round-robin play in Tier 1, and Tier 2 to determine Gold, Silver, and Bronze in both Tiers. 3. Skills Event a) The skills event will comprise of eight (8) groups which will create and randomly selected by the Technical Director. b) Head coaches will be notified well in advance of the competition of who is in which group c) Head coaches will be provided, following zone qualifications the information on the skills competitions d) Head coaches will be assigned to one of the eight (8) groups |

This competition is positioned in the Learn to Train, Train to Train phase of BC Wheelchair Basketball's LTAD model. | Quesnel Junior School | Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded within the parameters of the BC Games Society Medal Rule. | Hoop height is 10 feet.
